Today was rather interesting with many unexpected surprises. The day kicked off with CDE-TTT where we talked on resilience. We were to write words to describe ourselves, whether they were strengths or weaknesses. We then watched an inspirational movie about a man who had no limbs at all. Despite his condition, he still had the indomitable spirit to live life to the fullest. This video really touched my heart as I thought that compared to him, we were in no postion to grumble about our difficulties as they are nowhere as difficult as his. Moving on, we then had to write one of our greatest weaknesses on a slip of paper and get into groups. Choosing a few slips of paper, we had to think of strategies to overcome the weaknesses and present it in front of the class. The whole class was rather rowdy; we messed around and were not serious.
For Science period, Mr. Gabriel rearranged our seating positions permanently. The class was full of shock and dismay as we were not able to sit with our friends and in addition, we had to sit with people we resent. We had another surprise later: Mr. Gabriel claimed that he was over 50, which was unbelievable as he looked quite young.
Recess finally came and since Daniel had damaged my ruler, he compensated me for it. The minutes flew by and it was soon Maths period which was rather mundane. Ms. Lim also reprimanded the class for having the wrong presentations for our questions. Those who were guilty had to stand but fortunately, I had the right presentation. The day was spiced up with Home Economics which was next. We stared cutting the cloth for the bear but it was rather challenging as the scissors were rather blunt and that we got the wrong type of cloth. Since it was the last period, we were rather restless and noisy. As a result, we didn't manage to complete the work and had to do it as homework.
The time after school was a good time of enjoying myself relaxing as there was little homework. Before dinner, I had a good time with my family playing table tennis. The event bonded all of us together as a family. In the darkness of the night, I settled in my favourite couch doing one of my favourite activities: poetry writing! Many think it is rather abnormal, but I write poems to express my thoughts and feelings - somewhat like a poetry diary writing. It also helps me to relieve the day's stress in a way.
